KARIMA

Karima is een zeer productieve doordrager, geselekteerd door Mattivi in Engeland. Het is een robuust ras met een hoge opbrengst. De vruchten zijn goed houdbaar en stevig dus uitermate geschikt voor de groothandel.

Fruit quality

Karima has a good taste and shelf-life. The berries are conical at the start, during the sason more irregular with a neck. The colour is red and shelf-life good. Under warm conditions fruits can become a bit seedy.

Planttype

This variety has a normal vegetative development with rather long trusses. Flowering pattern can be a bit irregular in warm conditions

Production

Karima is early and high yielding with an average fruit size.

Disease resistance

Karima has tolerance to powdery mildew (Phodosphaera aphanis) but susceptible to angular leaf spot (Xanthomonas). Karima is moderately susceptible to root diseases.
